RCMP Detachment

The Revelstoke RCMP Detachment provides policing services to over 14,500 local and seasonal residents in the City of Revelstoke as well as the surrounding areas of the Columbia Shushwap Regional District. This Detachment is a designated bilingual Detachment and provides service in other languages when possible. The Detachment provides General Duty community policing, with support from General Investigations, Forensic Identification and Traffic Enforcement units. The RCMP work closely with community partners and frequently utilize the skills and expertise of Revelstoke Search and Rescue to locate missing persons. The Revelstoke RCMP’s policing goals, as approved by the City of Revelstoke Council, include education and enforcement in Traffic Safety, Theft Reduction and Violence Prevention. A Victim Services officer is housed at the detachment (see below).
