Health Care Advisory Committee – City of Revelstoke

The purpose of the Advisory Committee on Health Care is to promote open communication and an active working partnership between the City of Revelstoke, Interior Health, local health care providers and organizations, and the community of Revelstoke to ensure the health care needs of all residents and visitors are met.  The committee provides feedback and recommendations to City Council on matters arising. Revelstoke Chapter, Rural and Remote Division of Family Practice

The Rural and Remote Division of Family Practice is uniquely structured through 12 community-based chapters and one open chapter to be the voice of family doctors who understand the realities of practicing in rural and remote communities.

The Revelstoke Chapter has 16 local members who are actively involved in the advancement of health care in our community.  The mandate of the local chapter is to enable Revelstoke members to lead and support interdisciplinary team-based innovations which ensure full service rural health care that jointly sustains hospital and office based service delivery.  Initiatives are rooted in strong community-collaborations, engage the patient voice, ensure cultural safety and acceptability in care delivery, and build momentum and collaboration with and through local, regional, and provincial relationships.

Revelstoke District Health Foundation

The Revelstoke District Health Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization established in 1983 for the purpose of encouraging individuals and organizations to make donations for health related projects and activities in the community. Monies gifted to the foundation are invested prudently and revenues generated are returned back to the community. Funds raised in Revelstoke are disbursed with the intent to benefit the community of Revelstoke.

The Revelstoke Hospital Auxiliary Society is a group of dedicated volunteers who support health care in the community of Revelstoke by providing funds and supporting services in the community.
