Hospice – Revelstoke Hospice Society
The Revelstoke Hospice Society offers comfort, support and information to individuals and their family members facing a terminal illness and the prospect of completion of life. Fully trained volunteers offer personal and interactive service to some of the most vulnerable citizens in Revelstoke. As well as palliative care, Hospice offers a number of other programs including:
- PALS – a visitation program to seniors and isolated individuals providing emotional support for those facing difficult times.
- The Walking Program – provides residents of Mt. Cartier Court the opportunity to participate in casual walks.
- Death Cafe – A social conversation about death and life losses with the purpose of increasing awareness of death to help people make the most of their lives.
- Grief and Bereavement Support & Workshops – provides individuals with resources, tools and support to help cope with loss.
