Medical Imaging Services

X-ray and ultrasound services can be accessed at Queen Victoria Hospital with a physician referral or thru the emergency department.  Check in at reception for all medical imaging services.

Please bring your medical services card with you and/or proof of insurance.  Patients without provincial or travel medical insurance will be billed for imaging services.

X-ray

The  x-ray  department is open  for outpatients on a walk-in basis.
Open Monday-Friday from 09:00-18:00 and Saturday, Sunday and Stat Holidays from 11:00-17:00

Ultrasound

Ultrasound exams require a referral made by your family physician. Once a referral is made, the Central Booking Office located at Shuswap Lake General Hospital will contact you with your appointment time, either by letter or phone.
