Mental Health Supports

Supporting our mental health is as important as supporting our physical health. Here you will find people in Revelstoke who can help with different challenges including depression, eating disorders, anxiety, parent supports, addiction including opioid addiction treatment, bullying, harassment, grief and loss, and more. You will find practitioners who specialize in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), family systems theory, couples counselling, and trauma informed practice. You will find psychologists, clinical counsellors, therapeutic counsellors, marriage and family therapists, and social workers, among others.

If you’re not ready to talk to someone in person, or if you’re following up from an appointment and looking for more, you will also find online resources and apps. These online resources can either enhance the services you’re already receiving or augment them for programs we don’t yet have in Revelstoke. For example, programs like “Grandparents raising grandchildren”, Family Supports, and FASD support worker. There are online assessments tools and self-help kids through websites like Foundry BC and Looking Glass BC.

Here you will find information for any age from child to youth, adult to senior. From couple to families and people living with addiction or peers supporting them.

Just as our physical health can change and we may need supports to heal, we may need supports to help heal our mental health as well.
