This program provides consultation and support for families and/or caregivers that have questions about their child’s development or have a child with a diagnosed developmental delay (aged 3 to 6 years). The program can also arrange referral to other community professionals (physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech/language therapy), and has a lending library with toys, equipment, books, videos and other resources. Developmental screenings and assessments can be arranged. Consultation services are available to child care providers to assist them in promoting inclusive environments.

Revelstoke has a strong history of volunteerism. Volunteers are one of the strongest threads that tie a community together. Volunteering can help a person build connections to the community, meet new people and learn new skills.
Current volunteer opportunities are posted on the volunteer board at the Community Centre located at 600 Campbell Ave. or online.
An annual Volunteer Fair is held at the Community Centre in November each year.

For families with small children (aged 0 to 6) helpful staff at the Revelstoke Early Years Centre can assist with any questions you may have. Just call (250) 805-2305 or drop by Room 120 – 1001 Mackenzie Ave.
Registering your children for school is easy. Call the School District 19 office at (250) 837-2101 or drop by 501 11th St East, at the end of Vernon. OR for elementary aged students attending the French School, call l’Ecole des Glaciers at (250) 837-6364.
Apply for a BC Driver’s Licence at our local Service BC office, located in the Revelstoke Court House at 1123 Second St. West, or call (250) 837-6981.
It is best to apply for BC Medical Services Plan online. You will need to include a photo which can be taken at the Service BC office at the Revelstoke Court House.
For all employment questions and opportunities, the local WorkBC office is the place to go. WorkBC is located at 117 Campbell Ave. or call (250) 814-0244. They have many helpful services and programs.
Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and connect to the community. Volunteer opportunities are posted on the volunteer board at the Community Centre or on the Community Futures website.

WorkBC offers support to job seekers and employers. Job seekers can access job search and pre-employment-related services obtained either through self-serve or case management, depending on individual needs. They offer job fairs, resume writing, interview skills, training and self-employment supports. Employers have access to services such as wage subsidies and employee supports. Job start supports (e.g. mileage, employment related clothing), may also be considered based on individual circumstance and eligibility.
